Valley Lost Discs

How it works

I pull discs out of the water hazards and list them here so they can go back to whoever threw them.

Finding yours

Every disc I recover gets a card on the found discs page with the course, the hole, the day I found it and roughly what kind of disc it is. That is all the card shows.

The colour, the mold, the stamp and any name written on it are deliberately left off. If that information were public, anyone could read it back to me and claim a disc that was not theirs. Because it is not public, your description is what identifies you as the owner.

Claiming

Pick the disc that looks like it could be yours, hit Claim, and describe it: mold, plastic, colour, stamp, any ink, and what you threw and where it went in. Close enough on the details and the throw, and it is yours.

I compare what you wrote against what I wrote down when I found it, then reply to the email or phone number you leave. If two people claim the same disc, the better description wins.

Do not see it on the list? Report it as lost and I will check your description against whatever comes out of the water next.

Getting it back

We sort out a handover once I have confirmed the disc is yours. There is no charge to get your own disc back.

Reaching me

The forms are the fastest route, because they ask for the details I need to match a disc. If you would rather just write, or you have not heard back in a few days, email found@valleylostdiscs.com. Replies come from that address too.

The rules

  • Discs are held for 30 days from the day they are listed here. After that, an unclaimed disc may be sold or disposed of.
  • Inked discs get a contact attempt first. If there is a name or a number written on a disc, I try to reach the owner directly before the disc goes anywhere, and I log the attempt.
  • Describe it, do not guess. A claim that does not match what I wrote down gets turned down, and that is the whole point of keeping the details off the list.

Your details

The contact details you leave are used to reply to you about your disc and for nothing else. Nothing you write in either form appears anywhere on this site. There are no accounts, no tracking and no third-party scripts here.
